ASL Discovery Weekend is an immersive, in-person learning experience designed to build confidence, connection, and practical American Sign Language (ASL) skills. This weekend brings parents, professionals, and community members together for hands-on learning in a supportive, engaging environment.
Participants will explore key ASL concepts including visual storytelling, classifiers, fingerspelling strategies, and real-world ASL practice. Instruction is designed to meet learners where they are, with fluid class levels that allow participants to move between sessions if a class feels too easy or too advanced.
ASL Discovery Weekend is ideal for families of deaf and hard of hearing children, educators, service providers, and community members interested in strengthening their ASL skills. Participants will leave with practical strategies, increased confidence using ASL, and tools they can immediately apply at home, in the classroom, or in professional settings.
The weekend schedule includes:
Saturday, May 2 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Sunday, May 3 | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Lunch will be provided both days.
All instructional materials are included in the registration fee of $100 per person. For a limited time, use the code EARLYBIRD to receive $25 off your registration.
Space is limited, and this event is expected to sell out. Early registration is strongly encouraged.
